TOPIC: Autosave function & OnDataChange Script

the problem encountered if I attached it to the tag was that the script wouldn't run when the tag changed from true to false. this is the reason why i set it to OnDataChange as i need to execute a function (symbolized as print("State Alert Dismissed"); in the previous code) during state change from true to false.

Should i reinstall the runtime just in case?

I don't think reinstall will solve your problem. After executing the callscreen function you can set Tags.CurrState = false.
