Freeze the runtime scada. 4 months 3 weeks ago #3426

Dear Sir,

We are experiencing an issue where the Tesla SCADA runtime hangs every 1 to 2 minutes, and values do not update even when the PLC is running. Not open the popup. The SCADA PC also requires a restart to unfreeze.

We are currently using Tesla SCADA version 2.66.1. Our project has approximately 5000 tags and 4 connected servers. Additionally, we have 3 history database columns with 500 tags each.

For your reference, I have attached an image showing the project properties and the number of tags used.

Kindly provide this problem solution as soon as possible.

Best Regards,
Chetan Kashyap

Dear Chetan,

According the last version of project you've sent me, you use SQLite DB in your projects. It's not a good solution for big projects. I recommend to use other DB - MySQL or PostgreSQL. You can check the size of your SQLite history DB files inside the folder DB where installed TeslaSCADA IDE. Also I recommend to increase Update interval in Project properties from 500 ms to 1000 ms or greater value. Because you have many tags to read from your Modbus servers and many tags to store in history DB (in this case all these are requested every poll) I recommend to increase poll interval of your Modbus servers from 1000 ms to 2000 ms or greater.

Best regards,
Ruslan
